Joe Strickland has been taking pictures since he got his hands on his Dad's Polaroid camera in 1995.

When his high school did not offer any photography courses he ventured out on his own and became an apprentice with a top wedding photographer in Charlotte. Still shooting film at the time, this is when Joe was first introduced to digital photography and all the possibilities it had to offer.

Joe later went on to graduate from Appalachian State with a BS in Technical Photography. He founded Carolina Wedding Photographers and Joe Strickland Photography in 2005.
